5WHY SEE JULY 4TH FIREWORKS SPECTACULAR: NILE RODGERS AND CHIC
When: 7:30 PM
What: The Hollywood Bowl’s July 4th celebrations always boast one of the greatest fireworks displays you’ll ever see, and some of music’s greatest names. 2019 is no different because Nile Rodgers and Chic will be providing the tunes.
A key group of the disco era, Chic are best known for party standards ‘Le Freak’ and ‘Good Times’, the latter of which has been sampled by everyone from The Sugarhill Gang to Shakira. Rodgers went on to work is the magic behind the boards, becoming an uber-producer for David Bowie and Madonna. He then became introduced to a whole generation of music fans through his guest spot on the worldwide smash hit single ‘Get Lucky’ from Daft Punk and Pharrell.

What: We are going to pull out all of the stops for this year’s 4th of July Community Festival & Fireworks Show. This FREE, all-day family event, culminating with a 20-minute fireworks show in Expo Park. The picnic-style event, which gets underway at 11 a.m. on the South Lawn, features games and activities for the entire family, such as face painting, a rock climbing wall, and inflatable jumpers.
