Here’s everything you want to know and NEED to know before you go…

What You NEED to Know Before You Go!

#1 How to get there – Although Chick-fil-A El Segundo is on PCH you CAN NOT enter from PCH – you must enter on Maple Ave. We’ve created a how-to video for detailed instructions for a drive-through order or a dine-in order.

#2 – 120 NEW jobs were created in El Segundo – According to Franchise owner Carol Ruiz, 120 new jobs were created with the opening of the El Segundo Chick-fil-A location. “We hired 20 El Segundo High School students in our first round of hiring – I was very impressed with their overall work-ethic and look forward to seeing them further develop their skillsets.” ESHS student-parent Nicole Matulich recently shared with eGundo.com that getting a job at Chick-fil-A in El Segundo was the buzz amongst ESHS students for weeks leading up to the opening.

#3 – They’ll be hiring again in 2-3 weeks – Chick-fil-A El Segundo Manager Sarah Sargent told us not to get discouraged if you were not chosen to help open the El Segundo location – she encouraged new applicants to apply via the zippyapp.com website and shared that it’s common to start another round of hiring within 2-3 weeks of opening a new location.

#4 – You can win free Chick-fil-A for One Year – How does a free year of Chick-fil-a sound? As with most new Chick-fil-A openings, Franchise owners utilize one of two events to garner the attention of the new location. Chick-fil-A, along with El Segundo franchise owner, Carol Ruiz, has opted to launch the new location in El Segundo with the “First 100 Red Carpet Rollout.” Nearly every week a new Chick-fil-A® restaurant opens somewhere across the country.

Each First 100 event is a chance for the local franchise owners and restaurant team members to get to know their new customers.

About Carol Ruiz – Franchise Owner

The opening of the first Chick-fil-A in El Segundo is a homecoming for Ruiz, who lived in Los Angeles for years. Ruiz is no stranger to career success and helping to build a brand. She worked for world-renowned cosmetic and skincare manufacturer Estee Lauder, spending 25 years traveling throughout Southern California, New York and internationally.

Ruiz was encouraged by her sister, a Chick-fil-A Operator in Maple Grove, Minn., to look into a career with the chain, enabling her to put down roots and make an impact in the community. As she learned about the brand, the more she was drawn to its culture of hospitality and corporate purpose. In 2012, Ruiz began her journey to become a Chick-fil-A Operator, which is no small feat as the company receives nearly 60,000 applications annually for approximately 100 franchise opportunities.

In 2013, she was awarded the Chick-fil-A at Santa Barbara where her hard work and successes helped her earn the chain’s top honors for Operators, the Symbol of Success for four consecutive years, and the Champions Club for three years in a row. Ruiz and her husband, Jean Philippe, and their black lab, Oliver, are thrilled that the PCH & Maple restaurant is bringing them back to metro Los Angeles, an area they love and consider home.

“I am excited to introduce Chick-fil-A to the El Segundo community where I can meet the needs of our guests both inside and outside my restaurant,” said Ruiz. “I am committed to making a positive impact as I develop my Team Members, while together we can care for and provide a remarkable experience for each of our guests who become part of our family.”
