Have a 6-12-year-old baseball or softball player at home that’s bored or wants to increase their skillset? Beach City Baseball Academy (BCBA) in El Segundo is offering two South Bay summer camps taking aim at elevating your player regardless of skill level.

Whether your youth is just getting started or is at the top of her/his game, the BCBA coaches (more about the coaches below) can help your youth elevate their game. You can choose to attend a single day or a full-week (even both weeks, if you’d like).

As parents, we want the best for our kids. Speaking for myself, I am not equipped to offer my son the best baseball advice but I know firsthand that the coaches at BCBA can. That’s why we’ve signed our 8-year-old son up for this 2019 summer camp from BCBA.

Beach Cities summer camps are the perfect mix of baseball mechanics and instruction and fun for your ballplayer.

BCBA Baseball & Softball Summer Camp 2019

The Summer Camps will include a daily exercise and agility training routine followed by instructive drills relating to base running, pitching, defense, bunting, outfield play, infield play, batting practice, and other hitting drills.

There will also be many team-building skill exercises. Upon completion of the morning routine, and after a break for lunch, we will have fun, live, instructional games with many at bats for everyone.

The campers will all get a chance to play different positions, and they’ll be divided up as evenly as possible each week to ensure close, exciting matches. Parents are welcome to stop by and watch the daily activities at any time during the day.

Campers need to be dressed in appropriate baseball and softball attire with pants, cap or visor, and cleats. If possible, they should also bring along appropriate equipment, including glove, helmet, and bat. (Some spare helmets and bats will be available.) Campers must bring their own sunscreen, water, snacks, and lunch, preferably in a bag with the camper’s name on it. Coolers will be provided for safe storage.

The BCBA Coaches teach pro skills while keeping things fun!

Parent, Camp Regular

As with any BCBA lesson – they’ll learn more about the game and how their character can help them excel. Regardless of skill level, these camps will genuinely help your youth & he/she will come home happy & exhausted.

About Beach City Baseball Academy

In addition to managing and operating well-organized baseball camps that are open to everyone, the Academy sponsors The Beach City Prospects, a program of competitive and developmental traveling club teams with robust tournament schedules.

Beach City Baseball Academy is the premier baseball training facility in Southern California. The 25,000-square-foot campus includes 7 state-of-the-art indoor batting cages offering custom pitch technology which are programmable from 40MPH to 100MPH. The Academy also offers seasonal programs, camps, clinics and private baseball lessons year-round for players of every skill level.

About the BCBA Coaches

They’re nice, they’re strict, but nothing too far above or under – they’re exactly what a 6-12 year-old baseball or softball player needs. There’s nothing more satisfying then knowing your kid is in good hands when it comes to youth sports. That’s the feeling you’ll have once meeting the BCBA Coaches – many are former professional softball/baseball players who have trained at the highest level. I’ll never forget the first BCBA camp we took our son to – it was like our 7 year-old was playing for the Angels – everything was organized and calm at the same time. It was brilliant.

BCBA also features a state-of-the-art HitTrax machine which simulates how far a ball will travel on a real field (you can change the stadiums, too!). Behind the facility is an outdoor area equipped with several mounds and practice areas.

Prospect Park – A Mini-Field of Dreams in El Segundo

Just a few steps from the Academy’s campus, Beach City owns and operates a 12,000-square-foot baseball in-field. The new field called Prospect Park has been designed to meet all Little League infield regulations in order to provide a realistic training environment for students of the Academy and for players on the Beach City Prospect travel ball teams that call the Academy home.

BCBA enlisted the talent of several renowned local artists to create a mural that spans the 1st and 3rd baselines – it is stunning, to say the least!
