Friday is almost here! With some sunshine finally on the horizon, it’s time for the South Bay to get out an enjoy it! Disaster Preparedness Class

WHAT: If disaster strikes, are you ready? Most of us aren’t. In a crisis, our local police force and fire department may not be able to reach you and your loved ones in time to help. To learn how to prepare yourself and understand how to better serve your family and neighbors in an emergency, take this free Disaster Preparedness Class.
WHEN: First class is Saturday, March 9th. All Classes run from 9 am – 4:30 pm.
WHERE: South Park Classroom 4- 425 Valley Park, Hermosa Beach
DETAILS: The first class in the series focuses on Disaster Preparedness, Fire Suppression, and Emergency Medical Operations. All sessions are free, and all must be completed to receive a certificate of completion. Registration is available on Eventbrite.

Pilates at The Point

WHAT: Pilates is an ideal workout for both strength and flexibility. Every second Saturday, take part in a free pilates class at the point. Customized instruction is provided to accommodate all levels of fitness and experience.
WHEN: Saturday, March 9th at 9 am
WHERE: The Point Plaza (open grass area) on Rosecrans and Sepulveda
DETAILS: The event is free and open to the public, but please bring your own mat.

Fun-Tastic Friday: St. Patrick’s Day Story and Craft

WHAT: Celebrate the traditions and lore of Ireland with stories about St. Patrick followed by a fun take-home craft!
WHEN: Friday, March 8th at 4 pm
WHERE: Katy Geissert Civic Center Library- 3301 Torrance Blvd., Torrance
DETAILS: This is a free event, no registration required. For more information, please call the Youth Services Department at 310-618-5964.

Kids’ Music and Movement Class

WHAT: Keeping young children busy and engaged can be tough on the weekend. To help them explore music and get out some energy, try a class at Wondertree Kids. Music and Movement Class is offered to children of all ages, with music to match! Bring more than one child and experience the advantages and joys of interacting, bonding and learning together in a multi-age class.
WHEN: Saturdays and Sundays in March from 11 – 11:45 am
WHERE: Wondertree Kids- 710-A South Allied Way, El Segundo
DETAILS: Classes start at $29 for drop-ins, with discounts available for package deals. New member package available for $44/4 classes.
