Intro

Happy (almost) Saint Patrick’s Day, El Segundo! The story of Saint Patrick isn’t the cheeriest one- he was actually enslaved in Ireland in the late 4th century, but eventually escaped and worked to convert the Irish to Christianity. He’s responsible for the establishment of many schools, churches, and monasteries, and inspired numerous legends and tall tales. While the holiday stems from religious roots, it has since become a day of fun and festivities for all.

This weekend, in addition to the classes and events we usually enjoy here in the South Bay, we also have St. Patty’s Day parades, festivals, and family fun to look forward to. Don’t forget to wear green!
