Smart Start Weekend Workshop

WHAT: For those who have big ideas but aren’t sure how to make them a reality, prep for a successful new year with an entrepreneurial workshop. The Smart Start Workshop helps early-stage entrepreneurs develop clear goals, business plans, and learn how to tackle the challenges of business ownership.

Holiday Shows, Lights, and Activities

Journey of Faith: A Christmas Journey

WHAT: Join Journey of Faith Church for their production of “A Christmas Journey”. The family-friendly show will include live music and holiday inspiration for all.

Community Movie Night: Home Alone

WHAT: Celebrate the beginning of winter break with a showing of Christmas time classic “Home Alone”!

Ugly Christmas Sweater Days at Good Stuff

WHAT: Love free stuff? Get a free peppermint hot chocolate or cranberry mimosa (21+) if you show up at Good Stuff wearing an ugly Christmas sweater!
WHEN: Offer available through Sunday the 23rd

Beach Cities Toy Drive Wrapping Party

WHAT: Spread some holiday joy by wrapping presents for children in need. At the 26th Annual Beach Cities Toy Drive Party, community members can help get the donated presents ready for Christmas. All toys are donated to local charities including The Salvation Army, Harbor-UCLA Child Crisis Center, and Richstone Family Center.
WHEN: Saturday, December 22nd from 10 am until all the toys are wrapped
WHERE: Manhattan Beach Joslyn Center, 1601 North Valley Drive, Manhattan Beach

Marina Lights Saturdays

WHAT: Enjoy an expansive light display, complete with a giant snow globe photo booth, upbeat live holiday music by the Wonderelles, coffee and cocoa for purchase, and a showing of the Nightmare Before Christmas
WHEN: Saturday, December 22nd from 4 pm – 8 pm
WHERE: Burton Chace Park, 13650 Mindanao Way, Marina del Rey

Sleepy Hollow in Torrance

WHAT: Similar to El Segundo’s Candy Cane Lane, but larger! Walk or drive through several blocks of houses decked out in light displays and holiday decorations.
WHEN: Every night through Christmas until about 10 pm.
WHERE: Pacific Coast Highway/Calle Mayor in Torrance. Follow signs (and traffic!) for lights
DETAILS: Sleepy Hollow is always crowded, so don’t expect to be in and out in a half hour. While light viewing is free, cookies, snacks, and cocoa are sold on the sidewalks. Bring cash! Check out Yelp for photos of past seasons and reviews.

Skate into the Season!

This weekend’s event lineup is slow, but you don’t have to be! Lace up your skates and speed onto one of LA’s outdoor ice rinks or El Segundo’s very own indoor rink.

Price per location varies, but you can expect to pay around $15 per person to skate.
