Who’s ready for pumpkins and parties? Halloween weekend is here, and so are all the best South Bay Halloween events. While a few events will have to wait for the 31st, there’s no reason not to celebrate early! Check out festive fun for all ages below.

4. Halloween Festivities

29th Annual Pumpkin Race

WHAT: After nearly three decades, Manhattan’s annual pumpkin race is still going strong! Decorate your pumpkins with everything from paint to full-on costumes and find out which pumpkin is the big winner of 2019!
WHEN: Sunday, October 27th from 12 – 5:30 pm
WHERE: Manhattan Beach Pier

2019 Pumpkins by the Sea

WHAT: For little ones who aren’t quite ready for the twisted haunted house over on Grand, spend an afternoon hanging out on the sand at Seaside Lagoon. The fun will include a jumper, a costume contest, lots of games, a photo booth, and treats, of course!
WHEN: Saturday, October 26th from 1 – 5 pm
WHERE: Seaside Lagoon- 137 North Harbor Dr., Redondo Beach

Halloween Train Ride in Wilson Park

WHAT: Trains are a toddler favorite…especially Halloween-themed ones! The Southern California Live Steamers in Wilson Park take families on 25-minute evening train rides for an authentic train experience.
WHEN: Friday, October 25th from 6 – 9 pm
WHERE: Wilson Park- 2290 Washington Ave, Torrance

Trunk or Treat

WHAT: Take a peek at spooky cars, see some amazing dancing, and come in your best costume for a chance to win prizes! The Trunk or Treat fun will also include food from the Taco Taxi and lots of games.
WHEN: Sunday, October 27th from 10 am – 2 pm
WHERE: Automobile Driving Museum- 610 Lairport Street, El Segundo
DETAILS: This event is free for kids 10 and under. Youth tickets are $5, and adult tickets are $15 available here.

Halloween Cupcake Decorating

WHAT: Learn how to elevate your cupcake decorating game in a 2-hour workshop. The evening includes 6 premade cupcakes and all the materials you need to make them your own, plus festive Halloween games and treats.
WHEN: Saturday, October 26th from 5:30 – 7:30 pm
WHERE: Duff’s Cakemix- 730 S Allied Way, El Segundo
DETAILS: Tickets are $45 per person, or $55 if you opt for the vegan/gluten-free and soy-free option. Minors should attend with a chaperone.

Nightmare at the Brewery

WHAT: If you need to blow off some steam, head over to Common Space to throw an axe or two! The haunted fun is going on all weekend long, including games, prizes, the release of a new brew, tacos, and more~
WHEN: Every evening this weekend from 5 – 10 pm
WHERE: Common Space Brewery- 3411 W El Segundo Boulevard, Hawthorne
DETAILS: Entrance to the haunt is free, but food and craft beer will be available for purchase. All ages are welcome, and there will be activities planned for everyone!
