If you’re a baseball fan, get ready to cheer on the El Segundo 9-10 Little League All-Stars this Saturday. The El Segundo Little League 10U All-Stars have won their last three games, earning their spot at the District Championship. The Championship will take place at Redondo Beach’s Perry Park at 1 pm.

The team has an impressive recorded total of 48 hits, led by Logan Brooks 11-15, Ryan Wiacek 7-14, Chase Matton 7-13, and Joaquin Wagner-Bagues 6-12. The bats have been solid with Lincoln Quaintance going 5-10, Cole Knupfer 5-10 with  Jamie Owen, Jaiden Rico and Spencer Osborne hitting at their at-bats. Designated hitters Gio Blanco, Andre Sugden, Jake Danford and Jordan Slavens have contributed with solid performances adding to the team total 30 RBI’s.

Defensively, the bullpen has had a strong showing with Logan Brooks, Chase Mattoon, Jamie Owens, Cole Knupfer, Lincoln Quaintance and Joaquin Wagner-Bagues contributing on the mound.  Three pitchers and a stout defensive combined to shutout Manhattan Beach in the second game, while only allowing two runs in their recent game against Redondo Beach. The defense has allowed a total 8 runs in three games and is playing great small ball against impressive opponents.
