You might be thinking “there’s no way my pet will behave” but keep in mind this is their 11th year and it’s run by professionals – if you have a pet, you need to be at 123 Main St from 5-8pm tonight!
Kristian Krieger, owner of The Tavern on Main, has adopted dogs from the PAL Rescue, along with several friends, for many years and wanted to give back. The Tavern on Main teamed up with El Segundo photographer to help raise money for PAL Rescue.
According to Krieger, the pets are on a stage with a holiday backdrop and the professional grade photos can be printed on the spot for immediate take home and/or holiday photo cards can be ordered. A portion of the proceeds go to PAL and there is also a raffle and Mrs. Hovie will be there selling holidays bags of her crowd favorite toffee.
Krieger opened The Tavern on Main in 2002 and a few years later inspired by a co-worker’s rescue efforts to get involved in fundraising – working with PAL Rescue was a natural fit!
Krieger is a fan of PAL Rescue because “it helps to save and find good homes for not only dogs but also to raise wild animals that lost their mothers at young ages so that they can be released back into the wild.”
The Home for the Holidays Pet Photo Shoot at The Tavern on Main is a shining example of the good in Gundo – a resident wanting to give back. Well done, Kristian, well done!
