Movie on the Beach

WHAT: Watch the family-friendly Incredibles 2 under the stars alongside the Manhattan Beach Pier.
WHEN: Friday, August 16th starting at 6 pm
WHERE: Manhattan Beach Pier
DETAILS: This is a free event, but don’t forget snacks, chairs, and a picnic blanket! The movie is rated PG. No dogs permitted.

Drive-In Movie at the Roadium

WHAT: For those who prefer a vintage movie experience, the Roadium is hosting family-friendly drive-in movies all summer long. Up this week is a Pixar favorite- Monster’s Inc!
WHEN: Friday, August 16th. Gates open at 6:30 pm, movie starts at 8.
WHERE: The Roadium Open Air Market- W Redondo Beach Boulevard, Torrance
DETAILS: The movie is rated PG. Pets are allowed to this special screening! Tickets are $20, available on Eventbrite.

Concerts in the Park: Platinum Rockstars

WHAT: Summer is winding down, but there’s still time to catch a concert in the park. The Platinum Rockstars Pure Classic Rock Show features some of the best classic rock hits, including songs by Bon Jovie, Queen, Journey, Van Halen, and more. Opening for them is Behind Schedule, a group of local eighth-graders.
WHEN: Sunday, August 18th at 3:45 pm
WHERE: Polliwog Park Amphitheater- 1601 Manhattan Beach Boulevard, Manhattan Beach
DETAILS: As usual, this is a free event. Ridesharing or carpooling is recommended, and try to arrive early to find a prime spot! Please don’t leave belongings unattended or bring pets.

Concerts in the Park: Lisa Haley & the Zydecats

WHAT: To wind down from a hot day, bring some cold lemonade and come listen to the Americana, Folk-Rock jams of Grammy-nominated Lisa Haley out on the grass.
WHEN: Saturday, August 17th at 6 pm
WHERE: The Amphitheater at Wilson Park- 2200 Crenshaw Boulevard, Torrance
DETAILS: This is a free event for all ages. As for the rules, you know the drill! Picnics and chairs in, pets out.

Disney’s Beauty and the Beast

WHAT: It’s a tale as old as time; Beauty and the Beast! The Torrance Theater Company is celebrating its 20th anniversary with an enchanting performance of this classic Disney musical.
