In El Segundo, you don’t have to look far to find summer fun. You can choose between visiting clean, well-maintained parks, cooling off at the Plunge, and living it up with live music. Want to learn to surf, speak Spanish, or try out yoga? You can do that too, all thanks to El Segundo’s AMAZING Recreation and Parks Department.
El Segundo Rec and Parks has served our community for 8 decades
The Park’s Commission was established in 1938, advising our City Council on local parks, recreation, and landscaping for 80 years.
They’re so good at what they do that their reach crossed city lines- El Segundo Park’s Department was the inspiration behind the hit NBC series Parks and Recreation!
The department works tirelessly to offer our community the best of the best. Earlier this summer, eGundo shared 10 fantastic South Bay summer camps, but our very own Rec and Parks Department offers their own extensive list of summer camps, too!
2018 Camp Information
August is fast upon us, but if you haven’t signed up for one yet, it’s not too late. Several camps are still enrolling through August.
Options include surf camp, X-games camp, and film making camp, just to name a few.
