Since 1956, the El Segundo Recreation & Parks (Rec & Parks) department has made El Segundo residents their #1 priority. The El Segundo Halloween Frolic is one of the many events the El Segundo Rec & Parks department manages throughout the year that adds immeasurable value to our lives in ‘Mayberry by the Sea.’

2018 El Segundo Halloween Frolic Details

The City of El Segundo Recreation and Parks annual Halloween Frolic will take place on Wednesday, October 31, 2018, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on the 300 and 400 blocks of Main St in Downtown El Segundo.

Presale wristbands are available for purchase at the Clubhouse October 16 through October 30 for $8. The Kiwanis Club will once again sponsor this year’s Costume Contest which will take place at the City Hall Plaza at 4:30 p.m. Categories are Under 3 years, 4-6 years, 7-9 years, 10-12 years, 13-17 years, 18 years+, and Group Costume.

The El Segundo Women’s Club will also be hosting the annual Pumpkin Contest. Decorate your pumpkin any way you’d like and enter the contest at the El Segundo Women’s Club booth near the main stage by 5:00 p.m. Categories for the Pumpkin Contest are Most Original, Scariest, Funniest, and Best Overall.

The Halloween Frolic Takes A Village

The El Segundo Halloween Frolic is a safe event put on by the Recreation Department and members of the community volunteer their time to make important parts of the event function, such as Kiwanis Club helping to make the Costume Contest happen to the Women’s Club volunteering to advertise, coordinate and judge the Pumpkin Carving Contest.
