Intro
Nothing says summer like laying out on the grass, closing your eyes, and unwinding to the sweet tune of live music. El Segundo is home to their very own Concerts in the Park Series each summer, plus weekly music events at The Point. Events begin early each July and run through August, leaving plenty of time to experience the laid back outdoor music vibe.
Concerts in the Park
Two more concerts in the park are coming up on Sunday afternoons. The shows begin at 4 pm at Library Park on Main St. First up on the 22nd is the Kelly Rae Band.
The Kelly Rae Band is an in-demand country group featuring a list of popular country hits and classic faves. They also throw in some rock and pop, making them a great combo for all generations. The group has performed at local outdoor parks for 5 years running.
On August 5th, concerts in the park closes their season with Midnight Ride. Midnight Ride has put on over 550 shows spanning 11 countries since their formation in 2009.
The 5-piece Rock/Top 40 cover band is proud of their talented members especially their powerful lead vocalist, Megan. Together, their stage experience and high energy performance is sure to be a hit.
Concerts at The Point
Moving on to The Point, there are set to be several more concerts running every Wednesday from 6:30-8:30 through the end of August.
Tonight’s event features classic 80’s music by popular cover band The Radio Rebels.
The band is known for their stylistic flexibility, performing at a wide range of Southern California events and venues.
On the 25th, they’re followed up by the Feel Good American Band, Barley. Barley hails from right here in Hermosa with an upbeat acoustic sound featuring a killer sax.
Celebrating the first day of August, The Point also welcomes the Kevin Sousa Band. The beachy singer/song writer focuses on rock, but also incorporates elements of blues and pop.
