4. Get Moving!

Yoga and Meditation

WHAT: Wind down with a relaxing yoga or meditation practice at the El Segundo library…or both! Classes are free and open to all adults.
WHEN: Saturday, April 13th- Yoga starts at 10:15 am, meditation begins at 11:15 am
WHERE: The Friends of the Library Room- 111 W Mariposa Ave, El Segundo

Run as One 5k

WHAT: Run As One is a free 5K run/walk held in support of veterans globally. The Run as One series honors Marine veteran Clay Hunt, who took his own life after battling PTSD and depression. This all-levels event aims to inspire action and connection within the veteran’s community and serves to renew bonds with local veterans’ organizations.
WHEN: Saturday, April 13th from 7:30 am – 11 am
WHERE: 1 Pier Ave, Hermosa Beach
DETAILS: The run/walk extends from Hermosa Beach Pier to Manhattan Beach Pier and back, followed by a social at Tower 12. The event course is family-friendly, wheelchair friendly, and dog-friendly. Register for free and learn more about this event here.

Walk for Water

WHAT: Every spring, The Samburu Project hosts a walk to help provide clean water to the people of Samburu, Kenya. At the 10th annual walk for water, community members of all ages can take part in a fun, walk, run or bike ride along the picturesque pier-to-pier route. The walk is followed by a celebratory pancake breakfast, music, raffles, goodie bags and more. All members of the family are welcome, dogs included!
WHEN: Sunday, April 14th from 8 am – 12 pm
WHERE: North of Hermosa Beach Pier
